Non-destructive testing of steel structures
Details : , , rb Non-destructive testing of steel structures : , , rb Steel structure engineering testing of MCC Construction Research Institute (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. includes raw materials, welding materials, welding parts, fastener welding of steel structures and special equipment All specified test and inspection contents for materials and projects such as seam bolts, ball joints, coatings, etc. Mainly include: steel structure non-destructive testing, main structure engineering testing, steel structure mechanical performance testing, steel structure fastener mechanical performance testing, steel chemical composition analysis, coating raw material testing, salt spray testing and other testing. Magnetic particle testing Principle: After ferromagnetic materials and workpieces are magnetized, due to the existence of discontinuities, the magnetic field lines on the surface and near the surface of the workpiece are locally distorted, resulting in leakage. The magnetic field adsorbs the magnetic powder applied to the surface of the workpiece, forming magnetic marks that are visually visible under appropriate lighting, thereby showing the location, shape and size of discontinuities. Applicability and limitations: Magnetic particle inspection is suitable for detecting ferromagnetic materials with very small surface and near-surface dimensions and extremely narrow gaps (for example, micron-level cracks in length and width can be detected) that are difficult to see visually. The discontinuities of raw materials, semi-finished products, finished workpieces and parts in service can also be detected. It can also detect plates, profiles, pipes, rods, welded parts, cast steel parts and forged steel parts. Cracks mixed with hair lines, white spots, and folded cold insulation can be found. and looseness and other defects. However, magnetic particle testing cannot detect austenitic stainless steel materials and welds welded with austenitic stainless steel electrodes, nor can it detect non-magnetic materials such as copper, aluminum, magnesium and titanium. It is difficult to detect shallow scratches on the surface, deep holes buried in the surface, and delaminations and folds with an angle smaller than the surface of the workpiece. :, , rb MCC Construction Research Institute (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
